This project, hitherto referred to as AYOSAB, is being executed by me. I make the following pledge:
1) If I record it, I will release it. 2) If it sucks, I will still release it. 3) I might not record your band, for reasons that I may never explain. Here are some possible reasons you didn't get captured: a) Are you playing an all cover set? I have an irrational hate of covers. While I am loath to record a cover set, I will make an exception if you ask. However, I won't host the file here. Cover songs + Internets = possible legal headaches. The recordings will be for your personal enjoyment. b) Are you one of the handful of bands that plays at Barclay once every 30-60 days? (I'm looking at you, Pansori/Betty Sue Aside/and more recently Pala) While I will record MOST of your performances, I will also probably try to save HDD space occasionally. If you would like to ensure that EVERY performance gets captured, I'm not above being bribed. Daddy needs a new pair of external SATA drives. I'll also accept webserver space to host the MP3s. c) MachineFail: If the cube dies mid session, all of your set might not get captured. This is part of the grim reality of live capture.
I will be storing all of the sessions on DVD and on my personal file server. If you would like a copy on CD or the raw WAV files, just leave a comment on the show you'd like.
